If you’re not sure who John is, just keep your eyes on the water, because, chances are, he’ll be the first one out. In 2009 he took first in the swim portion at the World Ironman Championships in Kona. He took the 2001 NCAA national title while swimming for Auburn and swam on Team USA for four years. He entered the Triathlon World after just missing a spot on the 2008 Olympic Swim Team. A native Hawaiian, John recently won the 2010 Honolulu Triathlon. The triathlon world is living in fear as he steadily improves his run and bike performances.
