Josh Schneider had an impressive showing at the 2014 FINA Short Course World Championship, where he was the highest American finisher in the men’s 50m freestyle with a time of 21.20. After helping set two American records with team times of 1:33:25 in the 200m medley relay and 1:22:55 in the prelims of the 200m freestyle relay, Schneider ended the meet strong, helping to set a world record in the 4 x 50m mixed freestyle relay.
Prior to his success in 2014, Josh dominated at the 2010 Short Course World Championships in Dubai. Winning bronze in the 50m freestyle, he broke the American record with a time of 20.88, as well as earned goal in the 4 x 100m medley relay.
The 5x Short Course World Championship Medalist did not begin swimming until his days as a student at the University of Cincinnati.
