TYR LAUNCHES THE NEXT GENERATION SPORTS DRINK: TYR ENDURANCE SPORT

TYREndurancePress2013Huntington Beach, CA – April 17, 2013 –  At TYR, our mission has always been to provide athletes with products they need to obtain peak performance through innovation and design.  TYR Endurance Sport is no exception.

TYR formulated a high caliber hydration system that combines endurance, performance and recovery ingredients to enable athletes to maximize and sustain their full potential for prolonged periods of time.

“TYR is all about creating innovative products to help athletes push their limits and reach their full potential,” expressed Matthew DiLorenzo, chief executive officer of TYR. “The current sports drink industry has not seen innovation in over 30 years, and athletes need more than what is being offered by conventional sports drinks.  TYR Endurance Sport takes the traditional sports drink to the next level.  It is the first of its kind to combine EMIQ, Carbohydrate Complex and EGCG in a flavorful hydrating format.”

Quercetin is an antioxidant that promotes the body’s natural ability to manage inflammation, both during and after the exertion, for more stamina and faster recovery.  TYR Endurance Sport incorporates a superior form of Quercetin called Enzymatically Modified Isoquercitrin (EMIQ) that is 100% water soluble and has been shown in pre-clinical studies to be absorbed by the body at higher rates than other forms of Quercetin.

Carbohydrate Complex utilizes multiple gastrointestinal transport mechanisms to deliver more performance without digestive side effects.

Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) is a catechin commonly found in Green Tea Extract that supports human metabolism, improving efficiency and increasing absorption of other ingredients.

Not to be confused with basic sports drinks that offer hydration but no functional benefits, TYR Endurance Sport is strategically built to generate and sustain performance under the most enduring athletic conditions.

TYR Endurance Sport is currently offered in three delicious flavors; Punch, Limao and Orancia.  Drank by the likes of Ironman champion TJ Tollakson and 4X Olympic gold medalist Matt Grevers, this beverage is intended for high intensity training where excuses are not an option.

“I am very discerning when it comes to my sports drinks since my body needs optimal fuel for \ training and competition,” said Ironman champion TJ Tollakson.  “TYR Endurance Sport provides cutting edge performance nutrition to help me achieve optimum results from my training and racing with flavors that I love. The taste is sweet, yet not overbearing and has the perfect amount of calories per serving delivered through multiple carbohydrate transport systems. I’m staying in front by choosing TYR Endurance Sport.”

TYR Endurance Sport is a breakthrough in sports science, providing athletes with the Full- Spectrum Formula they need to hydrate, perform and recover.
