A former French record holder in the 200m butterfly, Lionel Horter holds 14 individual national championships for France. Born in Mulhouse, Horter was a former French specialist in the butterfly and is now an active coach. Lionel currently coaches at Club Mulhouse Olympic Swimming and has guided champion swimmers such as Laure Manaudou and 2000 Olympic Silver medalist Roxana Maracineanu. In February 2009, after the election of Christian Donze as the new National Technical Director, Horter was named National Coach Coordinator of Olympic and World Community for France. Lionel brother’s, Franck Horter, was also high-level swimmer and is currently TYR’s General Manager of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
