Sergio Lopez has guided The Bolles School Sharks to two consecutive Junior National Titles (2008, 2009). As an elite level coach, he has sent numerous athletes to the Olympic Games, the World Championships, USA Nationals, World University Games, and the NCAA Championships. In 1988, Sergio won an Olympic Bronze medal for Spain in the 200m breaststroke. A Spanish National Team member from 1984-96, Sergio is a former European and U.S. Open record holder. After proudly representing Spain for the duration of his swimming career, Sergio recently became a U.S. citizen. Sergio’s two children, Harley and Cobi, both compete for The Bolles Sharks.
