The 2008 USA Swimming Nationals concluded with TYR athletes winning six of the ten final individual races. Swimmers wearing Tracer garnered a combined success of 6 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.

Amaury Leveaux set a new world standard in the 50m butterfly SC in a time of 22.29 at the French National Championships in Angers. He lowered the previous global standard of 22.50.
While competing in Angers, Leveaux has improved his previous best time in the 50m butterfly SC by a stunning 4.3%.
“Amaury continues to surprise and amaze with his new found versatility in the 50m butterfly. He is just beginning to show his extraordinary potential,” said Steve Furniss, executive vice president at TYR Sport.
At the Beijing Olympic Games, Leveaux earned two silver medals in the 50m freestyle and 4×100m freestyle Relay. He also remains the only swimmer in history to go under 22 seconds in the 50m freestyle LC and also swim under 1:47 in the 200m freestyle LC.

With the conclusion of the second day of races, TYR athletes collected 16 medals: 5 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze.

Amanda Weir recorded a winning performance in the 50y freestyle in a time of 21.82, a winning margin of .45 seconds. In the preliminaries, Weir clocked her personal best time of 21.62, just shy of the American Record. She wore the advanced technology Tracer Rise full body for her sub 22-second performances in the 50y freestyle and relay events.

At a joint press conference today in Copenhagen, Denmark, TYR Sport, Inc. and the Danish Swimming Federation announced a new multi-year partnership. The four-year relationship, which officially begins on January 1, 2009, will encompass the variety of aquatic disciplines supported by the Federation and will include TYR’s full range of technologically advanced swimming apparel and accessories.
