Wellington and Lavelle are Top Honorees

Triathlete Magazine has selected their top performers for 2008 in the current February issue. Leading the field was Chrissie Wellington who earned the Overall Female Triathlete of the Year and Performance of the Year. Wellington is honored for her undefeated season, winning all six races and defending her Kona Ironman World Championship title. Her Performance of the Year took place at the Alpe D’Huez Triathlon where she beat all but one man in the entire men’s and women’s field. She crossed the finish line 25 minutes in front of the female runner-up.

Andy Potts appears on the cover of the February issue of Triathlete Magazine. The issue features an interview with Potts including his racing plans for the upcoming season. He wears the latest TYR 2009 Triathlon apparel.

Potts is a 70.3 World Champion and Olympian. He led the pro men’s field out of the water with a course-record-breaking swim at the 2008 70.3 Ironman World Championship in Clearwater.
