Houston University Crowned NCAA Champion in One-Meter Diving

Divers completed their first day of competition in the one-meter springboard finals at the 2009 NCAA Diving Championships in College Station, Texas.

Houston University Diving secured the national title on Thursday by winning the six-dive event with a score of 351.15. Indiana University followed in second place to earn 339.80 points while the University of Hawaii rounded out the podium with a score of 331.35. 

The top four finishers in the one-meter competition were in TYR for the national championships. The meet continues tomorrow on the Texas campus with the three-meter springboard event.
