Lawn Takes Second at Ironman New Zealand

Jo Lawn was the runner-up at the 2009 Bonita Ironman New Zealand. With ideal racing conditions, Lawn led the field of competitors up to the marathon run in Tracer Triathlon technology. She crossed the finish in 9 hours 23 minutes and 8 seconds. Lawn was the reigning Ironman New Zealand champion for the past six years. 

“That was an incredible experience, the crowd was amazing again, I just wish I could have finished first, but Gina had a great day today and was too good. We pushed each other, I think, and that’s what makes champions.”
