Pip Taylor finished second to 2007 Ironman 70.3 World Champion Mirinda Carfrae in the sprint-distance Iron Girl Atlanta held at Lake Lanier, GA, Sunday with a final time of 1:15:46.

TYR joined the Today Show to kick off its annual Lend a Hand goodwill road trip by surprising A Chance for Children Foundation collectively with more than $420,000 in donations.
Today Show’s host Al Roker reaches out to small charities across the country that work toward improving conditions in their communities. Their Lend a Hand moving truck filled with boxes of much-needed supplies and donations surprised A Chance for Children in Pacific Palisades. TYR presented the foundation with swimwear, goggles, swim caps and warm-ups on the Today Show.
A Chance for Children is a non-profit organization that reaches out to homeless and disadvantaged youth to provide them with opportunities in activities that develop self-esteem and teamwork. Founded by Baywatch creator Greg Bonann and Tai Collins, A Chance for Children teaches youth to learn how to swim at its annual summer camp in Malibu. For over 15 years, TYR remains actively involved with the non-profit organization as its longest standing sponsor.
With consistency and a strong back half, TYR-sponsored TJ Tollakson claimed a second-place finish at the 2009 Ford Ironman Coeur d’Alene this past Sunday. His efforts were the fastest by an American and secured a position at the 2009 Ford Ironman World Championships.
On Monday, June 22nd, FINA published their revised list of approved swimsuits. The suits reflected on this list are approved through December 31, 2009.
