TYR co-founder and Olympic swimming medalist Steve Furniss appeared on America’s Nightly Scoreboard on Fox Business News with host David Asman. Furniss discussed performance swimwear at the Roma World Championship and the effects of FINA’s recent regulations.
Another hot, sunny morning on Thursday, July 30th set the stage at the 2009 World Championships for TYR’s Amanda Weir to break the American record in the 100m freestyle with a time of 52.20.
The fourth day of the 2009 World Championships Wednesday, July 29th started off on a high note as TYR’s Mary DeScenza rewrote the world record by .04 seconds in the preliminary rounds of the women’s 200m butterfly, placing her first heading into the evening’s semi-final round with an astonishing 2:04.14.
After clocking a lifetime best 52.82 in the 100m backstroke Monday, July 27th at the 2009 FINA World Championship, TYR-Sponsored Matt Grevers will advance to the championship final heat scheduled to compete tomorrow evening.
