Austin, Texas – March 5, 2010 – TYR athletes Ariana Kukors and Robert Margalis began the first night of finals at the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Thursday, March 4th on a high note with first place finishes each in the 200m individual medley. Both athletes were outfitted in the new Tracer High-Performance Line in route to their wins.
Huntington Beach, Calif. – February 16, 2010- TYR announces the signing of world record holder and U.S. National Team member Nick Thoman to their roster of world-class athletes that include Matt Grevers, Ariana Kukors, and Amanda Weir. With the multi-year agreement, Thoman will compete and train in all TYR swimsuits, including the new Tracer High-Performance Line, as well as swim and lifestyle apparel and accessories.
Long Beach, Calif.- January 18, 2010- On the fourth and final night of the 2010 Southern California Grand Prix, TYR’s Matt Grevers raced in the Tracer Light Jammer and took his fifth gold medal of the meet in the 100y backstroke to claim the High-Point award. Aside from the overall meet highlight, it was TYR’s Ariana Kukors who took her first gold of the long weekend in the 200y Individual Medley Monday evening, shattering the previous meet record in the process.
On the third and final day of the 2009 Short Course National Championships held in Federal Way, Wash. on Saturday, December 5th, Amanda Weir took the 100y freestyle finals with a time of 47:84 to defend her national title. With the conclusion of the night’s finals, TYR-Sponsored athletes captured a total of five national titles.
