Both racing in the TYR Hurricane Category 5 wetsuit, Flanagan split 45:58 and Potts followed close behind in 46:28. The next competitor was another six minutes back. Potts made up the deficit quickly on the bike and held on to his lead headed into T2. With an impressive 2:42:48 marathon split, he crossed the finish line in 8:24:40.

Tisseyre relied on the same back-end speed she used to win Mooseman 70.3 on June 6th to finish first in 4:23:21. Fifth out of the water in TYR’s Sayonara swimskin and second off the bike, her 1:27:38 half marathon split positioned her at the front to hit the finish line first with a one minute, 36-second margin of victory.
