With the conclusion of the 2009 USA Swimming ConocoPhillips National Championships and World Championship Trials, TYR congratulates Mary DeScenza, Matt Grevers, and Amanda Weir for their strong performances throughout the past week claiming individual and relay spots on the US World Championship team headed to Rome, Italy for the championships scheduled to begin July 22nd.

The 2009 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships and World Championship Team Trials in Indianapolis, IN kept getting better for TYR swimmers and coaches each night, ending Saturday evening on a high note. Amanda Weir added yet another individual race to her list for the championships in Rome, Italy, while coach Bill Rose of the Mission Viejo Nadadores was selected by USA Swimming to join the team’s coaching staff.

The IUPUI pool in Indianapolis, IN set the stage Friday evening for TYR swimmers to shine at the 2009 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships and World Championship Trials. Matt Grevers and Mary DeScenza both qualified for the U.S. team to compete at the championships in Rome, Italy beginning on July 22nd. TYR’s coach Kim Brackin of University of Texas also placed a swimmer on the roster, adding to the night’s overall success.
