An Olympian and reigning Toyota Series Champion, she is a proven performer who will bring experience and enthusiasm to TYR’s growing team of professional triathletes.
At the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater, FL on Saturday, November 14th, Canadian Magali Tisseyre blew away the field on the run to capture third in 4:05:27. The time bettered her 2008 championship performance by over 22 minutes, validating the leaps and bounds she has made in the sport over the past year.
In another triathlon-filled weekend in the U.S., TYR’s Becky Lavelle rounded out the podium with a third place finish at Sunday, August 30th’s Life Time Fitness Chicago triathlon, while John Flanagan set a new swim course record at the Ford Ironman Lousiville triathlon in the Tracer Sayonara the same day.
The 2009 Life Time Fitness Triathlon kicked off in full gear on Saturday, July 11th as over 3,000 triathletes of all levels arrived on the starting line in Minneapolis, MN. Among those athletes were TYR-sponsored Andy Potts and Becky Lavelle, who each finished in the top three of the competitive professional field.
