Matt Grevers Wins Toyota Grand Prix High Point Award
Matt Grevers won the acclaimed High Point Award for all male competitors at the Southern California Toyota Grand Prix. Matt had a tremendous showing in Long Beach with 7 Medals: Four Gold, Two Silver and One Bronze.
On the final night of competition, Matt came out strong with a win in the 200yd IM with a time of 1:43.56. In the 100yd Butterfly, the High Point Award Winner took a Second place finish with a fast time of 46.33.
Mary DeScenza set another Lifetime Personal Best in the 100yd Backstroke. She stopped the clock in at 52.40 improving from her previous fastest time of 53.41. In the 100yd Butterfly, Mary captured a second place performance in 52.04. Mary was the runner-up of the female High Point Award with two Gold medals and three Silver medals. She also set an incredible three Lifetime Personal Best Times at this competition in Tracer Light.
In his specialty, the 100yd Backstroke, Peter Marshall darted out with speed. He touched the wall in 45.65, slightly behind the winner at 45.50. Peter sported the latest swimsuit fabric in the Tracer technology. Matt Grevers rounded out the top three by clocking in 46.19.
