great shorts for a beginner like me

I ordered these to knock some seconds off my swim and transition times for a sprint triathlon. I ordered the large because I had seen some reviews that said sizes ran small. The large works fine for me but I think I could have been good with a medium which is what the size chart said I should get. I thought the pad and some of the seams were a little uncomfortable until I put on a spandex under garment between my skin and the suit. Maybe that is what you are supposed to do anyway I don't know. No problems at all after that.Really like the leg openings because they do not ride up. Would go with the 7" next time. Overall great shorts and did shave 10 seconds off each 100 meters in the pool.

Leg opening is uncomfortable and bike pad not as comfortable as another brand

I ordered this for my son. He chose another brand. He didn't like the rubber along the leg opening and he said that the bike pad in the other brand was more comfortable. I liked the color and style! His stats are below.

I wanted a tri short with a long inseam and these fit the bill. I prefer shorts just above my knees. I went on a longish bike ride with them, and , while they don't have as much cushion as bike shorts they take the edge off the bike seat. thy're much easier to walk in than bike shorts (I haven't run in them yet) and they fit under a wetsuit perfectly. I would recommend them.

Good choice for the 9" short. Compression without a stranglehold and a pad that doesn't feel bulky. Great short race shorts!

Bought one pair to try out and like so much order a few more pairs. Great for training in and racing. Really like the added zippered pocket in the rear, Great for a gel and car keys if in a training run or bike ride. Great leg grippers which stay in place. Easy to care for and they dry fast.

Great fit and comfort a little pricey but this is true you get what you pay for. I bought a pair of these Tyr shorts two years ago and they last and are very comfortable.
