Engineered in the pursuit of Gold, the AP12 achieved its objective when Matt Grevers set a new Olympic Record and took home the Gold Medal for USA in the 100m Backstroke at the London Games. Showcasing Turbo Compression Fabric, the AP12 High Speed Short combines lightweight construction, with hydrophobic micro-filament performance to provide 360 degrees of core stabilization and pure speed. Featuring an Anatomically Engineered Fit and Hydrodynamic three-panel design the AP12 enhances compression, to increase muscle firing and reduce form drag.
Specialized seams and sleek designs partner to optimize body position and a Smooth Bonded Finish provides a sleek stitch free surface so swimmers can cut through the water with minimal resistance. The AP12's combination of bonded seams on the inside and four-way lock seams on the outside creates the lowest possible profile, to reduce drag and maximize performance.

fell apart: great while it lasted Sep 3, 2012 | Posted by
This was my first TYR performance suit, and I was one of the first members of my club to purchase any kind of high-waisted suit, and i was very impressed. the core stability for butterfly and freestyle is unsurpassed. However, i have complaints. the product photo makes it look like the suit goes down to your knee. Mine barely went past mid-thigh. also, after some use, the seam at the crotch began to fray and now there is a 1.5 inch slit on the outer layer of fabric. For the price i expected a more durable suit. Wearing out makes sense, falling apart doesn't.
