TYR Fusion 2 Navy Jammer

Feb 26, 2016 | Posted by Ben C | Gender: Male Sport Interest: Swimming Age: 18-24

I ordered the a navy TYR Fusion 2 jammer from Wiggle (a UK-based equipment site) to be shipped to Australia. On first impressions, I was impressed by the colour and the look (the navy is a great option if you want to move away from the traditional black jammer colour, and the arrow patterns look great). I went to put this suit on, confident that right size had been ordered, as I had followed the fitting guide. Although this suit provides good compression, sizing is slightly smaller that indicated, most notably in the crotch and front hip area. This is definitely a low waist fitting jammer. As the other reviewer stated, I strongly recommend purchasing a size above the sizing chart size (I purchased a 26, and should've bought a 28). Once again, compression around the upper and lower thighs is great, however, the front hip area is smaller than I expected. Personally, this hindered my kick movement in breaststroke. Performance was good in the pool. However, when I got out and immediately washed the suit in fresh water, I noticed that two threads had come loose from the stitching along the leg, and that the FINA sticker had also started to crack and come off. Quality is not the best. Personally, I would recommend spending the extra $70/$80 to buy the TYR Tracer B jammer.

Great suit but be cautious on sizing

Feb 12, 2014 | Posted by Dave G | Gender: Male Sport Interest: Triathlon Age: 55-64 Size Purchased: 36

The Fusion 2 is a great suit that has a streamlined, slick feel to it and is also very quick drying. The fabirc and fit give a compression feel and it sits slightly below the waist and has a full thigh-length leg. My only caution would be if you have a build on the stocky side, or in my case, cyclist's thighs, order one size bigger. I am usually a 32/33 waist and ordered this as such (34) and it was too tight in the waist and at the seam at the bottom of the thigh which has no give. The 36 fits great and as previously mentioned, I really enjoy the compressioin feel. It's obviously on the higher end in price but I feel it is worth the money.
