Great Fins!

Jan 27, 2015 | Posted by Iowalacey | Gender: Female Sport Interest: Swimming Age: 35-44

I am a female who wears a size 7.5/8 in shoes, I do NOT have narrow feet, and I ordered the small green pair. The fit is perfect! I bit snug so they don't fall off in the water but not too snug where it is hard to get them on or painful after wearing them. I was skeptical about the short fin and how it would perform in the water, but I absolutely love them because they make your legs work out even better. They work well with backstroke too! I just started lap swimming early December 2014, I am 198 pounds at 5'4", so.... in bad shape. I prefer to workout in the water because it is easier on my knees until I lose some weight. Just wanted all of you regular people out there like me to know you don't have to be on the swim team or in shape already to use these fins! Get them and start burning off the fat with me!

Excellent Customer Service

Jan 14, 2015 | Posted by El Patron de la Salsa | Gender: Male Sport Interest: Swimming Age: 35-44

Just wanted to say that I'm very pleased with the support from the TYR customer service team. I had some minor issues with my Burner EBP fins and they did a one time replacement at no charge. I got them delivered today and can't wait to get back in the water with them again. They are an excellent fin and I've noticed a huge difference in my legs. Add a TYR swim snorkel, pull bouy and hand paddles and your workout will move up to the next level, no doubt.

Make your legs burn

Dec 17, 2014 | Posted by Deserteagle

Anyone who swims competitively or simply to stay in shape should get a pair of these! I used them several years ago while on a swim team, and forgot how great they really are. A few things about these fins:

TYR's sizing chart worked great for me. I wear 10.5 shoes, so I bought size large for shoe sizes 9-11. This worked perfect for me. They slip on easy, and they seemed to stay on fine. Once they were on I never had to adjust them. I would recommend putting them on once in the water. They are also quite easy to walk in, and I had no problem at all doing flip turns with them.

These fins are definitely geared toward competitive swimmers because they have short blades. This allows you to kick at a faster cadence, unlike long blade fins that require minimal kicking. I would highly recommend buying these instead of long blade fins if you are a lap swimmer. They give you a great workout and really make your legs burn.

I have no issues with mine. The fit is perfect, the material is a strong rubber, the color on my large fins is a nice looking red and black. No issues with them hurting my feet or toes. It is possible to get blisters on the back of your ankles if you do not buy a correct size, and/or wear these for a long swim, so keep that in mind. Some people wear socks which helps if the fins are too big, but I would just follow their size chart and you will be fine.

Highly recommend for the price and what they do for your workout.

THEY CHANGED MY LIFE

Dec 13, 2014 | Posted by jbgood | Gender: Female Sport Interest: Swimming Age: 65+

For a while before I used the burner fin, I had lost my sense of balance and had to sit down to put on my shoes and pants. I swim 3-4 times a week, and now I can stand on one foot at a time, balance restored. Also, my knee issue has improved tremendously, because my leg muscles are so much stronger. These fins are amazingly comfortable, much more than others I've tried. The foot feels just right, not too tight around the toes. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Product Questions & Answers (6)

  • Q: I am an USA Age Group Swim Coach and have been using the TYR EBP fins since they came out. I recently have been approached by my swimmer's parents asking what happened to the XXXS and XXS fins sizes, they can no longer find them anywhere. Please let me know if you will continue to sell these sizes or if they are discontinued, as I will need to find another fin to meet my teams needs.

  • Q: Hi! I am an advanced level triathlete and looking to replace my ancient swim fins. Which of your 3 models are recommended for triathletes? Thanks!

  • Q: I need light wight fins which one you recommend? I used the green it was big for me. My regular size shoes is 61/2. Thanks

  • Q: Do the fins come as a pair or must I order two?

  • Q: I looked for an indicator for right and left. The bottom of both fins have a large L, I assume that means that both are left.

  • Q: are the sizes for the swim fins in USA sizes or UK sizes?
