a great beginner practice suit (for petites!!)
Jun 25, 2014 | Posted by | Gender: Female Sport Interest: Triathlon Age: 35-44
I am beginning my training or my first tri coming up this fall. I had a really hard time finding a suit for my petite, small busted, 40 year old body. The fabric is what some would call "rough", but I don't mind it. It fits great all around and no pinching! I have only used it for 2 months, in cholrine and salwater/chlorine pools, 3x/week, and it has stayed true to its form. I don't know how long most suits last, but this one seems to be holding up well. I was just so glad to find something that fit!!

Thin straps are too tight.

I thought this would fit as well as my Safari print Durafast suit, but the straps have very little gve in them and cut into my back. I'll continue to wear it, but it's disappointing. The material is nowhere near as soft as the Safari print. It's rough round the edges. It's a beautiful print but just plain uncomfortable. I'm also 6 ft tall and TYR are the only suits which fit the length of my torso, so I totally rely on them, but this one is feels shorter because there's less give in the material. I'm a long distance open water swimmer, so comfort around the seams and edges is extremely important.

50 hours and wearing out.
Apr 6, 2014 | Posted by | Gender: Female Sport Interest: Triathlon Age: 35-44
This suit was my big black Friday splurge. It's beautiful. I swim in this suit for about an hour 3 times a week, which now in early April brings the total pool hours for this suit up to about 50 hours. I kept track. When the suit first arrived the elastic on the straps and around the legs seemed a big tight while the body of the suit didn't. I ordered my usual size. The elastic has given some to be more comfortable. The body of the suit now sags noticeably. And the pool I swim in is salt water with low chlorine.

This suit lasts forevers

Unless the other review, I love this suit! It is polyester fabric, which is rough, but it lasts forever and will save you so much money since you won't have to buy another suit. I've been wearing this 5 times a week for almost 4 months now and it has not even started to wear out. I love the colors as well, but one thing about these suits is that they do run small. If you are normally for example a 26, I would size up to a 28. Other than that, this suit is awesome for training, not the most comfortable, but will the poylster will last you a very long time!

If you have a long torso, don't even try this suit. I also thought the fabric was a bit on the rough side and did not seem like it would dry as quickly as my other TYR suits. But I never wore it in a pool as it would have been indecent! It is being returned... I really liked the pattern and wish they had it in a different fabric.
