Seal Beach, CA - January 11, 2022 - TYR Sport Signs Brazilian Fitness Athlete, Guilherme Malheiros.

Hailing from Brazil, Guilherme Malheiros was introduced to Fitness as a 15-year-old and quickly found his passion for the sport. In his first CrossFit® Games appearance, Malheiros battled to a second-place finish in the teenage division. Aging up into the men's division and qualifying for the Games is no easy task, yet in 2019 he did just that – placing 48th overall. Malheiros then returned to Madison, Wisconsin, and did the unthinkable when he claimed three individual events in 2021. His electric performance skyrocketed him up the leaderboard, awarding him as 2021's Most Improved Athlete and the 7th Fittest Athlete in the World.

As a member of Team TYR, Malheiros will join sponsored athletes including Olympic Medalists Katie Ledecky, Ryan Lochte, Lilly King, and Michael Andrew, as well as Fitness athletes Noah Ohlsen, Travis Mayer, and Emma Cary.
