TYR Sport Re-Signs 10x World Championship Medalist Michael Chadwick

TYR_Resigns_MichaelChadwick Seal Beach, CA — February 25, 2019 — TYR Sport is proud to announce the re-signing of 10x World Championship medalist Michael Chadwick to its roster of sponsored athletes. As the most decorated swimmer in the history of the University of Missouri, Michael Chadwick is no stranger to competition. In fact, in addition to 22 All-American honors Michael ended his college career owning team records in the 50, 100 and 200y freestyle events and the 200y IM. Today, he is currently ranked third all-time in the 100y breaststroke. Most recently, Chadwick turned heads at the 2018 USA Swimming Winter National Championships where he dominated in the men’s 100m free. In addition to taking home first place, Chadwick’s time ranked second in the world for 2018. Later that year, Michael performed on five American relay teams at the 2018 FINA Short Course World Championships where he earned four golds and one silver medal. Two of those winning performances (both the 4×50m and 4×100m free relays) also set new world records. Kicking off 2019 on the podium, Michael Chadwick recently scored big wins at the first stop of the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville, TN. In addition to taking home first place in the men’s 100m free, Chadwick also came in second in the men’s 50m free. Aside from his impressive performances, this was an exciting weekend for Michael as it was the first time he competed in the all new TYR Venzo technical suit. Having spent the last two years traveling to the TYR design headquarters, Michael played a unique role in helping to create the suit that is now being celebrated by industry insiders and athletes worldwide. “Michael has proven to the world that he’s just getting started,” began TYR Sport Chief Executive Officer Matt DiLorenzo. “We’re confident that come 2020, everyone will know his name.” "I am thrilled to be rejoining the TYR family,” began Chadwick. “TYR takes care of its pro team better than anyone else in the market. Over the past few years TYR has allowed me to excel in the pool and with the new addition of the Venzo I know that come 2020, Team TYR will be on top. I can’t wait for the world to see just how high TYR has taken the suit industry with the release of the new Venzo."   About TYR Named for TYR, the Norse god of warriors, our company is committed to cultivating a culture of greatness, both in and out of the water.
