New York, NY – November 6, 2013 – TYR Sport, a global manufacturer of swim and
triathlon gear, is proud to announce it has raised $120,000 for The Breast Cancer
Research Foundation® (BCRF) through the premier year of the TYR Pink line. TYR
officially presented the funds to the Foundation on Oct. 31, which marks the end of
Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Consisting of swimsuits, caps, goggles and bags, the TYR Pink line offers fresh,
innovative products to the swim community. Each time someone purchases an item from
the line, TYR donates up to $5 to BCRF.
“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is inspired by our partnership with TYR
Sport,” said Myra Biblowit, president of BCRF. “The company’s commitment and
dedication to the breast cancer cause is truly exemplary. This contribution will enable us
to continue to support world-class research aimed at ridding the world of breast cancer.”
In October 2013, BCRF committed $45 million to support the work of more than 200
researchers at major medical institutions across six continents. By spending 91 cents of
every donated dollar on research and awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the
nation’s most fiscally responsible charities.
