TYR Sport Signs World Championship Medalist Lindsay Vrooman

L.Vrooman_Signing_PressReleaseSeal Beach, CA — May 10, 2016 —TYR Sport, the leading manufacturer of competitive swim and triathlon gear, is proud to welcome World Championship Medalist Lindsay Vrooman to its roster of sponsored swimmers.

Making waves at Indiana University, Lindsay became a Big Ten record holder and 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee during her time as a Hoosier. Placing second in the 1650y free at the 2013 AT&T Winter Nationals, she then went on to earn major podium finishes at races like the 2014 FINA Short Course World Championships, where she earned bronze for her swim in the 800m free relay.

Turning heads at the 2015 World University Games, Lindsay won one gold and two silver medals for her swims in the 800m, 1500m and 400m free. That year she also championed both the 400m and 800m in the same stroke at the Phillips 66 Nationals.

A National Team Member since 2013, Lindsay now has her sights set on the world’s stage. This summer she plans to attend her second Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska.

“I’m incredibly excited to become a member of Team TYR,” said Lindsay. “ From a great group of fellow National Team members to an outstanding and supportive staff, there’s no brand I’d rather represent during the Olympic year.”

“We are elated to welcome Lindsay Vrooman to the team,” began Matt DiLorenzo, Chief Executive Officer of TYR Sport. “With each race Lindsay continues to grow as an athlete, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.”
