Women's National Championships Conclude with Record Performances

The 2009 NCAA Swimming Championships ended Saturday with N.C. State women's diving winning its first ever national title in the program's history. The team achieved their feat with a total score of 339.05 in the six-dive platform event. The third-fastest time in history was recorded in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:51.18. In the 100-yard freestyle, an impressive result of 47.48 was achieved and ranks among the Top 10 Fastest Times in the sprint event. Both athletes wore the latest Tracer Titan technology. The men's championship takes place on March 26-28 at Texas A & M in College Station, Texas.
