Chrissie Wellington Breaks Timberman 70.3 Course Record
Chrissie Wellington proves once again she is a dominant force in any triathlon race she takes on. At the 2008 Timberman Triathlon in New Hampshire, she set the Timberman 70.3 Triathlon race course record and won the women’s race by more than 18 minutes. Chrissie also finished sixth overall, only five men completed the race ahead of her time of 4:11:46.
The course consisted of a 1.2 mile fresh water swim in Lake Winnipesaukee, 56 mile bike ride around Ellacoya State Park and 13.1 run around the lake.
Chrissie remains undefeated since the 2007 Ironman World Championship Hawaii as she has won every race she’s entered including Ironman Europe and Ironman Australia.
