Eric Shanteau Punches Ticket to Beijing

Eric Shanteau made his dream come true by earning an opportunity to represent the United States at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the 200m Breaststroke. The excitement filled the Omaha Quest Center with more than 12,000 fans cheering on the breaststrokers. Swimming against a loaded field of Olympians and World Record Holders, Eric pulled in a solid 2nd Place finish in 2:10:36. He maintained his position for the four laps as he qualified for a spot on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team. Eric set his Lifetime Personal Best Time in the semi-finals of 2:10.24, one of the fastest American times this year. Congratulations Olympian Eric!
