Huntington Beach, CA - August 15, 2011 - TYR's Pete Jacobs successfully defended his title at Ironman 70.3 Philippines 2011.  Wearing TYR's Torque Pro Swimskin, Jacobs was two minutes ahead of the pack after the first lap and first out of the water with a swim split of 24:17. Back in the U.S., TYR's Tom Lowe won a modified Ironman 70.3 Steelhead in Benton, Michigan.  Due to rip-tide warnings and wind gusts of up to 25 mph on Lake Michigan, the swim was cancelled and the race became a 69.1 Duathlon.  In unrelenting wind, Lowe lead from start to finish in TYR's Carbon Race Kit.  Lowe had the best bike split of the day with a time of 2:03:16, and finished off the race with a run split of 1:14:51.  Lowe worked hard to maintain his lead and finished with a total time of 3:19:32, 19 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
