With the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games underway in full speed, Matt Grevers (pictured top left) made history with a new World Record in the men’s 4x100m Relay. He anchored the relay and clocked in 47.77. The U.S. recaptured the World Record in 2006 and now reestablished a new World Record in the preliminaries with a time of 3:12.23. The former World Record was 3:12.46. TYR Team member and French superstar Amaury Leveaux (pictured top right) led off the French relay team in the 4x100m Relay with a time of 47.76. Amaury recorded his Life Time Personal Best Time in the 100m Freestyle. The French Relay Team set a new European Record with a record time of 3:12.36 and will challenge Americans in the relay finals. Matt didn’t stop at a World Record. He dashed out of the 100m Backstroke preliminary heats with the fastest time in the history of the Olympic Games. Matt rewrote the history books with a new Olympic Record in the 100m Backstroke with the time of 53.41. His time would have won him an Olympic Gold medal at every Olympics in history. Matt has the fastest time as he enters into the semi-finals of the 100m Backstroke.
