Pip Taylor won the 2009 Australian and Oceania Long Course Championships held Sunday in Hussikson, Australia. The race is a qualifier for the ITU World Long Course Championships to be held in October in Perth. Taylor took the lead out of the swim to earn her first title of the 2009 triathlon season and finished the 3km swim, 80km bike and 20km run in 4 hours 22 minutes and 31 seconds. “I have to say a big thanks to all the support I received today. I don’t get many opportunities to race in Australia these days so that was pretty special for me to get crowd support as well as to come away as the Aussie Long Course Champ.”
