Huntington Beach, CA – December 20, 2013 –  TYR is elated to announce that 4X Olympic Gold Medalist Matt Grevers has resigned with the company through the year 2016. The company first added the talented college athlete to their professional roster in 2003 and has been proudly sponsoring him for a decade, as he has carved out his spot in swimming history. At the 2012 London Games, Grevers earned a Gold medal for the U.S. and set a new Olympic record with a 100m backstroke time of 52.18. He also struck Gold in the 400m medley relay, and picked up a Silver in the 400m freestyle relay. Back in the 2008 Beijing Games, Grevers won two Gold and one Silver, bringing his total Olympic medal count to an impressive six. “Being a TYR athlete means I’m part of a family and something greater than myself,” said Grevers. “Swimming for an entire company, and not just for myself, helps me push through more pain barriers at practice and compete at higher levels at meets. To be able to re-sign and continue out my professional career with TYR is such an honor and also a comfort because I know they will always have my back and provide me with the highest level of performance products there is.” Grevers is currently training to make the 2014 Pan Pacs/World Trials Team.
