Huntington Beach, CA — March 6, 2011 — 2x Olympic Gold Medalist
Matt Grevers had a standout race at the Indianapolis Grand Prix to tie for first place in the 100m backstroke. Wearing TYR’s
Tracer C-Series Grevers put up a time of 54.08, which stands near the top of world rankings. In addition, Grevers garnered second place in the 100m freestyle with an outstanding time of 50.01. TYR athlete
Josh Schneider also swam to an impressive finish in the 50m freestyle. With a time of 22.65, Schneider tied for second place.
Schneider’s SwimMAC teammate
Nick Thoman finished in third place in the 200m backstroke. Thoman also swam a 53.93 100m backstroke leg in the 400m medley relay for SwimMac. Interestingly enough, Thoman’s time, while outfitted in TYR’s
Tracer B-Series, would have placed him 3
rd in the world rankings had it been a non-relay.
Olympian
Amanda Weir posted a blistering time in the 100m freestyle at the American Short Course Championships in Austin, Texas. Finishing in 47.35, Weir clocked the 13th-fastest performance of all time while wearing TYR’s
Tracer B-Series. Weir’s personal best is 47.15 from the 2008 Short Course Nationals, and she sits third all time in the American Short Course standings.
