Huntington Beach, Calif. – May 3, 2010 – TYR triathletes competed and excelled at the 2010 Avia Wildflower Triathlon Saturday, May 1st, and at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon on Sunday, May 2nd. All athletes wore TYR’s Hurricane wetsuit. Julie Dibens outshined her competitors at the Wildflower race in Bradley, Calif. She immediately took the lead on the swim leg in the Hurricane, exiting the water with a 1:45 advantage. Holding onto her lead through the bike, she split 1:28:28 on the 13.1-mile run to solidify her lead and cross the finish line in 4:27:53. The time set a new course record standard by 3:15. At the start of the 2010 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in the cold, chopping waters of San Francisco were 1,800 triathletes – including TYR’s Andy Potts and Jenna Shoemaker. Potts raced aside the top male professionals during the entire course to come out third in a time of 2:02:02.
