Andy Potts clinched his fifth title at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon on Sunday with a time of 2:03:17. Outfitted in TYR’s
Hurricane Freak of Nature for the swim, Potts exited the water with a 27:10 swim split. Potts then went on to dominate a deep men’s field on the bike with a split of 45:41. Wearing TYR’s
Carbon Race Kit, Potts sealed his victory with a time of 45:37 on the run.
Back on the east coast, TYR athletes
Craig Alexander and
TJ Tollakson placed first and third, respectively, at Ironman 70.3 Eagleman. Tollakson had a race best of 2:02:30 on the bike in TYR
Carbon, but Alexander’s running proved superb as he surpassed Tollakson with a race best 1:15:07 to take the win.
Over at Ironman 70.3 Kansas, TYR’s
Amanda Stevens had the fastest swim split with a time of 27:11 in her
